Proposal

Project Description:

The project will be an exercise in natural light in the day (as opposed to night) to capture a Halloween yard in my neighborhood that reflects the current trends in the year of 2022. The yard is located in Alexandria, Virginia and is of skeletons wearing varied dress, climbing, and participating in a number of activities. The yard is taped off, and all the skeletons are packed closely together which gives a visual smorgasbord of terror to feast upon.

Outcomes:

The series I plan to print out will be at least six and no more than eight images on Bergger cot 160 8.5 x 11 paper using the Van Dyke Brown chemicals. The size of the prints will be varied from small to large, and the UV light for printing will come from the UV box. Various angles and apertures will be used to add excitement. The presentation will be a cohesive whole within the theme of Halloween.

Methods:

I am printing out the photographs I took last year on a camera (Land, analog, 4x5) of the same yard and adding them to digital (Canon Rebel T5) images that I took this year. The time is very limited to be being able to capture per the owner of the yard. Both sessions of the photoshoots were taken at dusk for ideal light.
